2022 Tax Refunds Delay – Here Is When To Expect Them!
As we mentioned previously the 2021 Tax refund checks (Issued in 2022) are going to be delayed according to The Federal Government. That being said The IRS is now saying if your return has ) Errors you still should receive your check within 3 weeks of filing.
What if my return has errors?
Errors such as math mistakes or discrepancies or incorrectly stating how much you received from the advanced Child Tax Credit payments may get your tax return flagged by the IRS and could lead to delays of weeks or even months. Another challenge will be reaching IRS personnel by phone as they are working an a massive backlog still from last year and due to mandates etc and more illness are short staffed.
Personally I am not holding my breathe that even the 3 weeks will happen. All I can say is good luck to all of you expecting returns. I hope they come quicker then anticipated and without any further issues then predicted. For up to date information visit the IRS Website
