JCPenney’s $5 pink-tag clearance is an in-store shopping opportunity. Look for the marked clearance pieces at your store; the online clearance section is a separate selection and does not make every online item $5.

Deal alert: These deals can change at any time without notice! Prices, discounts, coupons, and availability may vary by location, account, size, color, or seller. The price shown was reported when the deal was found or published and is not guaranteed. Always verify the final price and promotion terms before checkout.

Start with the marked items in your store

Look for pink-tagged clearance and confirm the scanned price before paying. Small appliances and comforter sets are examples of the types of finds that may turn up, rather than a guaranteed shopping list for every location. Exact models, quantities and selection depend on the store.

If an item appears to belong with the clearance but lacks a pink tag, use the store’s price-check option or ask an associate. Its shelf location alone does not establish a $5 price. Match the barcode on the actual piece, including its size or variation.

Shopping route What to use Cost to keep separate
In-store pink-tag find The marked item and its scanned price Tax and any extra trip cost
Unmarked nearby item A price check for its own barcode Its actual price; do not assign the neighboring markdown
Online clearance The selected online item, size and current total Delivery or pickup conditions
Rewards account The specific reward available to your account Minimum purchase, timing and exclusions

Use online clearance as a separate comparison

If you cannot visit a store, browse the official JCPenney clearance collection. Online selections include clothing, shoes, home and other departments. Check the exact item rather than treating an online photo as proof of a local pink-tag markdown.

Shipping is free on qualifying orders of $75 or more, and free store pickup may be available for eligible items. Compare the complete order with the in-store option. Adding unwanted merchandise just to reach a shipping threshold can cost more than paying delivery on a smaller order.

Check rewards before subtracting them

New shoppers can review JCPenney Rewards for any welcome reward and its actual conditions. Check when it becomes available, any required purchase and whether it can be used on your selected clearance. Keep the ordinary $5 markdown separate from a reward that may not apply.

For two qualifying $5 items, the starting item total is $10 before tax. Subtract an additional reward only if its terms allow it on that basket and the register applies it. A signup opportunity alone is not a completed discount.

Use our free-shipping minimum comparison if you are deciding between a small online order and a store visit.
