Best Time of Year to Buy Furniture
It seems like there are so many holidays that furniture stores celebrate by having HUGE BLOWOUT sales. It’s hard to know what sales are the best and we want to make sure they didn’t just raise the price just to lower it and call it a sale. Furniture is a big expense and knowing the right time to buy can save you thousands of dollars. Here are some tips and tricks to make sure your furniture buying experience is cheaper than ever.
- Indoor furniture – the best time to purchase indoor furniture is winter and summer. Because furniture stores are most likely dropping new furniture in the spring and fall months, its best to purchase right before the new styles reach the stores. This is because they will be marking down the old styles to make room for the new.
- Outdoor furniture – the best time to shop for outdoor furniture is summer. Coming from Arizona, I can’t imagine buying outdoor furniture in the summer because that is the last place I want to be, but nevertheless it’s true. The reason it’s cheaper is because you have 2 major holidays known for furniture deals, Labor Day and 4th of July. These are HUGE sales days for furniture retailers.
- Office Furniture – Whether you are looking to spruce up your home office or your work office, the best times to purchase is April, right as those tax returns are rolling in. Another great time to purchase is in August as back to school sales are going on.
- Mattresses – Are you in need of a new mattress? Well, you are better off waiting until September when Labor Day sales hit. If you want to get the most bang for your money, this is the time to purchase.
