CVS has announced they are closing 900 locations over the next three years. While a list is not available yet on which locations will be closing. This news is huge! CVS has a bigger presence than Walgreens or Rite Aid combined. But they are looking into more of an online presence than previously had. The closures will begin in spring of 2022. There is not much news online about these closings.
Except to say they are concentrating on stores in locations that do well. But what happens in the small towns that depend on CVS for their prescriptions and more? Here in Vermont the closest CVS store is 30 minutes away from where I live. What are your thoughts on this announcement?
