Nearly 4 Million GM and Chevy Vehicles Recalled!

General Motors has faced heat from the government and has issued a recall on nearly 4 million Chevrolet and GM trucks and SUVs in the United States and Canada. Over 100 crashes have been related to a brake problem. Over a dozen injuries have been reported.

The GM recall covers 5 model years and several models including the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra. Several series pickups from model years 2014-2018 are potentially affected. Owners of the Cadillac Escalade, GMC Yukon, and Chevrolet Surburban and Tahoe should also be aware of a possible brake malfunction. The problem lies with the pump in power assist brakes putting out less power than required as the vehicle ages. This can mean the vehicle takes longer to stop. Repairs will be made at no cost to GM and Chevy owners. See more info below.
